Assigned equipment gets lost when people leave

A spreadsheet nobody updates

Who has the accounting team's old laptop? The file says one thing, reality another.

Departures that cost money

An employee leaves, and so does their equipment. Without history, you can't tell what they had been given.

Forgotten lease end dates

Leasing company, contract end date: the information exists somewhere, rarely next to the equipment.

A simple register, airtight traceability

An equipment register, timestamped assignments, and tracking of each employee's arrival and departure.

  • Useful indicators Active and departed employees, registered items, and active employees still without equipment.

An item's lifecycle

  1. 1 Register

The item is created with its photo, in-service date and any lease.

  2. 2 Assign

It's handed to an employee, with a timestamped assignment.

  3. 3 Track

Its record always shows who holds it and since when.

  4. 4 Take back

When the employee leaves, the return is logged and the item can be reassigned.

Who does what, day to day

  • Facility manager

Registers equipment, assigns, takes back and reviews histories.

  • Leadership

Knows at any time what's been handed out, to whom, and what's leased.
